Ferry is our best player. FACT!
If he could shoot then you would be right.

I think you missed my point! All I'm saying is, more often than not, if he goes missing, it is because the opposition have set up to nullify him. He scores a fair proportion pf our goals and our assists - any scout is going to suggest to any manager to focus attention on him. Of course there will be occasions where that isn't the case - it sounds like today may have been one of them, but the original post was about consistency, hence a judgment over time, not just this afternoon! No offence meant.

Uh yeah if you say so...has Pericard scored yet?

It's very clear that our team struggles to keep itself ticking without Simon Ferry in the middle of the park. It's clearly noticeable when he isn't there.

Great day out, got interviewed by BBC crew outside the ground. Hopefully it will be on the football league show later. I mentioned the Town End forum and our adoration for Paolo. Thanks to the guy Steve from Pewsey who bought me a beer at h/t.

According to Eddie Howe we are a very direct team.

Usually in football this means you hoof it, but I don't think he means that. We are direct in the sense that we don't fuck about in trying to create chances.

He's right to be fair. We can be very direct sometimes just not in the vein of hoofing the ball up from the back line.

Rafa came on and made a difference no doubt, but lets not forget he was up against tiring players who had just put a 70 min shift in already...its easy to say that players like Rafa and Ferry should have started after seeing them put in a good cameo from the bench(though Ferry didnt yesterday).
Also for a team that was lucky i can count 5 clear cut chances yesterday not including the harder chance Williams netted.....including miss of the season from Collins.

We were not lucky in my eyes, draw was about right.

Nothing wrong with being direct, infact it should be encouraged
