Good article from Town’s own Stuart James on Broadbent: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/jul/20/army-bristol-rovers-tom-broadbent-afghanistan

Nice. Appear to be making decent moves this window.

I don't see how this rules out Sid at all.

With Broadbent, we then have Wolfy, Conroy and Lancashire. Lancashire's injured and/or not up to it while Conroy isn't doing great so far this season. We're looking pretty limited at the back.

Happy with that, my Rovers supporting mates say hes a big hard unit who can head and tackle but is not the fastest knows how to do a long pass too.

A good age too at 26 still has a fair few years left in him.

I would love Sid to come alongside of him but I think that ship has sailed now unless we can offload Lancashire.

Now 1 more striker please and maybe that winger.

I think recruiting with next season in mind is exactly the right call.  Think we are limited in what we can do until players go out of contract. But what we have done (Rose, Broadbent) is pretty good. At least on paper..

I read some where the young full back from Burnley is in effect an 18 month loan deal too, if we want.

Very impressed with the business so far but a goalscorer remains elusive. Still, positive moves and I think we'll be just fine with RW in charge. I like him.

Anyone know when Knoyle's contract is up? Next bit of business for me would get him a 3-year renewal. Player of the season so far for me.

I like Knoyle, if we can work on the attacking side of his game more he could be top class.
I personally think his crossing is a bit poor and he should be more confident about taking players on.

Quote
Bristol Rovers defender Tom Broadbent has been named as one top 50 EFL players.

The 26-year-old has been ranked at 43rd by football magazine FourFourTwo in their annual look at the 50 best talents outside the Premier League.

Broadbent, who has played 22 times in his first season for the Gas, is the only Rovers player to make the list.

The former Army man was picked up by Rovers in the summer from non-league Hayes and Yeading and only officially left the armed forces having already signed for Darrell Clarke's side.
April last year this was.

Kyle is a tidy player, no more than that, I'm not sure I can think of too many assists this season.... I'd say he can improve though.
