Think the consequences of the mismanagement of the 00's is that we're now a yo-yo club (two chocy biscuits there Nev)...yo-yo between L1 and L2.

Not a very good yo-yo seen as we've spent a whole one season of the 00s in L2.

As for JPC, sure he can be a twat sometimes (like not liking my amazing brilliant witty sarcastic posts) and some of his information at times can be quiet scary and stalker like but he is usually right with what he says.

I think Reg was saying that we are now a yo-yo club after the last 7 years of mis-management.

but we arent because we have barely yo-yoed

we could become a yo-yo club, we could go down again this season (we wont) then back up etc etc

apart from one season we've been steady for a good number of years which isnt very yo-yo like.

Over the last three years we've done a fairly good impression - 1 down, 1 up, 1 level.

Exactly...last season we flirted with the drop, before steadying, this season as Spencer points out we've gone stale, partly through losing a few players and teh Board not being prepared to pay agents etc, to get proper replacements.

BTW I'm not criticising the Board here, just trying to get folk to have a realistic view of where we are right now...in many ways we've been remarkably lucky, that we avoided a Looton, Bormuff, Rotherham situation.  No doubt our financial mismangement, was on a similar scale...and we could very easily be Conference bound by now.

AF is right about stability being the key...in many ways though it was a pity that he folded to the donuts and sacked MM.

Yo Yo's go up and down everyone knows they don't stay level unless you are preparing the walk the dog trick. You lot are thick

In the last 18 years we have definitely been a yo yo club, we are becoming more of humpty dumpty club now though.

2000-2001. Didn't go up, or down.
2001-2002. Didn't go up, or down.
2002-2003. Didn't go up, or down.
2003-2004. Didn't go up, or down.
2004-2005. Didn't go up, or down.
2005-2006. Went down.
2006-2007. Came up.
2007-2008. Didn't go up, or down.

Hardly yo-yo.

We've spent all but one season in this division! We've been through a lot of shit in the past few years, on and off the pitch, but we've not been yo-yoing all over the place.

This is just falling into the short termist trap that pervades the present game...the same will happen with DD.

Have we gained anything from sacking MM...answer no. As a club we're still way short of the necessary infrastructure to compete at the level above...so in the meantime, let's accept our status, and hope progress continues off teh pitch.

also, forgetting the cups because no one really cares about them.

Malpas last 3 league games were back to back wins and a draw against top of the league. Our best run off form this season.

It's a shame Fitton is such an honest gentleman, a more ruthless chairman would have had a man in place weeks before Malpas got the push.

I can't say I'd eat a testicle (As they've already been reserved) but I'm willing to put any amount of money up against us going down this season.

We haven't had a manager for the last six games, of course we're struggling! Get the new man in and let's see where we finish. It won't be in the bottom four.

Hope you are right, I'm not so confident though.
Brighton, Yeovil and Leyton Orient the next few matches will probably show where we are going this year.

About time we had a bit of luck as well, we do not seem to be luckiest outfit in the league.
