Paté crumpets are a thing of beauty and I challenge anyone to tell me different (unless you don't like paté that it).

Somehow only just discovered honey on crumpets.
I love honey on crumpets, add some cinnamon too. Crumpets just aren't filling though, i'll have 2-3 crumpets and i'm hungry again an hour later.

Portuguese egg tarts. Never had one until about a couple of months ago, now they all need to go in my face.

Down here in Chard every supermarket and bakery sells them, Chard has about 1/4 of its 11,000 population are of Portuguese origin and the locals can't get enough so they are sold all over the place, some great ones in the 2 Portuguese cafes. I can confirm they are good, the ones made by the pork & cheesers (as the locals call them) are amazingly good.

Its nice having the puff pastry base rather than shortcake base, they are pretty damn good.

There was a Portugese chap selling his from a little market stand the other day - I'd also not had one before, so, so good.

Pasteis de nata. Best eaten warm with a little ground cinnamon sprinkled on top.

Can confirm. These were sampled in Madeira a few years ago. Little Bakery and you could get a paper bag rammed with them (say 6 or for about €2.50. Yum!

https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/uk-world-news/man-fined-1000-after-naked-20319084?Mate of mine did similar at the Premier Inn in Stockport on my stag night, in that he got up for a piss at 6ish, went out the wrong door an found himself in the corridor. On the plus side he was at least wearing some pants, problem for him was that to get back into the room he had to go to reception which was in another building across the (even at that time in the morning - its close to Manchester airport) extremely busy car park!
