Tis good.
I like Kraken too.
Noooooo. Both are too commercialised and sweet. Get on Salford Rum, or Plantation. Don't have with mixers as that ruins the flavour.

Have you done the Guinness brewery tour? Its fantastic, more like a museum than a typical tour. The Guinness you get given there is obviously really, really good but if anything its a bit too fresh. A Guinness in any of the pubs near St James's Gate, however, is perfection.
I have, but probably around 20 years ago and I didn't like Guinness at the time and gave my free pint away! (sacre bleu!). Dublin does do its Guinness very well but my favourite place for it was actually in Galway, i'm probably showing bias as that's where we got married. The guinness in Cork wasn't good at all, but that is because Cork has other drinks and so my cynical head reckons they do their Guinness badly so as to show off their other wares!

At 5pm on Saturday my favourite tipple was anything with a high alcohol content that would help me forget the preceding 2 hours (I passed on the surgical spirit mind)

We brought some Rum back from St Lucia, Chairman's reserve, which is their general offering and one we spent a little more on, called Admiral Rodney which is lovely.

My last day at my current company today, before starting afresh Monday. Relevant? Well, my leaving gift is a year's sub to Flaviar. https://flaviar.com/Anyone got any experience or know much about it? Looks like a high-end booze subscription, which is ideal because post spirits and cocktails is literally my hobby.

Gonna have to have a sample of some of these rum shouts. It's my go to chaser when out on the lash(once upon a time) but just go with Captain Morgan's or bicardi.

Ale - Jennings Cumberland or Thwaites Wainwright. Larger - Belgian or if in a pub, Moretti, Estrella Damn or if things are scarce Stella (nothing beats a cold Stella to cure a hangover), Red Wine - preferably Rioja or Shiraz, none of that Merlot nonsense! Don't really do spirits, but if needs be I like a nice G&T.

Captain Morgan's was the first spirit I drank. About 12 and from the stolen hipflask of my mate's Dad. Rank.
The spiced is lovely stuff though.

I see you're up to 9th. Heady heights. Might be as cold as Benson up there.
