I remember the FA Cup replay against Orient being abandoned at the County Ground because of a frozen pitch. Can't remember how much of the game had been played but I thought that the re-arranged game was not full price. Might be wrong though, was a while ago

If that was the January one in the early 90s?
 - Just after half time
 - Was NOT full price for the re-arrangement
 - Probably only needed 1 bobby to police the crowd!

That was the one, it was Jan 1991.

The irony was that at the original game at Orient it absolutely pissed it down just before kick off & we were on the open end trying to find some cover

Yeah I forgot that game, the replay was played 2 days before the birth of my 1st son on 23rd Jan 91, I am pretty sure the replayed game was half ticket price.

I'm still bitter about it.

"The referee is jus checking the pitch as a precaution, there is no danger the game will be called off"...

I'm also still not fully defrosted either!

I do remember being surprised we had to pay anything to get in to the re-arrangement. But I can't remember what % of the original ticket it was.

The first game at home should never have started, the pitch in front of the Shrivvy Road was still frozen at kick off. I too was pissed off & refused to buy a ticket to the replayed game (except someone else bought me one so I went anyway)

Are we really comparing this to games that were played 25 years ago?

Let it go people, let it go.

No I won't & don't you tell me what to do.

I demand a full refund of my season ticket as well as free champagne at my seat in every future match.

If not, I shall expose Mr Power as the cad he is

Oh, shit, 25 years. Thanks maths boy. 1991 is still only a few years ago in my head, 10 at most. At least it was.

You were 5 then weren't you? Jeez.

You seem quite uptight about this considering you didn't go to the game in the first place...

I seem to remember someone, possibly Kevin Nugent ending up in PMH, after he sort of landed head first, which may have decided the ref it was dangerous  Smiley
