anybody else impressed with the southend support today? brought more than i thought they would, and fairly loud throughout. also, what about that drum? i know some people are really against instruments at football but i think a drum is a great way of generating atmosphere. one problem we have at the moment is lack of atmosphere we need to keep supporting loud n proud NOT getting on players backs totally counter productive their heads drop further and performances weaken DONT DO IT

depends....the drum is alright but when we had one it was over used and out of tune....

Nothing worse than a long chant with a drum ala blackpool....

Drums are fucking terrible....I like attending football on a Sat with a sizeable hangover from Friday......the last thing I need is some twat thrashing a drum....if its stuck over in the Arkell's corner then its just about OK...if in the TE, I'd happily wrap round the kids head.

Air horns are the nearest thing to an instrument that should be allowed in the ground, and even then you have to make sure it isn't some numpty operating it as then they sound shit if used badly.

I stlll think the best instrument at footie is the good old fashioned larynx...

AIR HORNS SHOULD BE BANNED! They seriously piss me off!

I'm unsure about the idea of a drum. As mentioned before, a kid from Blackpool has a huge drun that he takes everywhere. Okay in moderation but can seriously piss people off if over-used.
