Thought Aguiar was decent in a more advanced position today. Shame he was hooked so early. Drinnan put in good effort but didn't get much out of it. UGM I guess.

Exactly that.
Mediocre game with few stand outs, FBT or Dokes probably for me, McCarthy did well but also made a few bad mistakes. Aguiar did ok as did McGurk, Drinan looked a decent player until Austin came on vying for the same space on the pitch, they can't play in the same team IMO.

Yeah I put in a mild protest vote for Aguiar who I thought was unreasonably subbed. UGM is probably the rightful winner though.

UGM was good but felt Elbouzedi offered more of a threat. Decent cross for the goal. Maybe not enough to be MotM but probably the most vital contribution.

UGM, great shift, most consistent player. The rest, aside from Chas, not quite on it. McEarache was better than Khan who he came on for. Overall, looked a bit jaded, needing a bit more belief.

This is difficult. UGM stood out as he drives forward with the ball. Told, his passing was a little better than normal.
FBT was solid. Drinan had a good first half.
Aguilar was OK. McGurk suffered from being on the left, when they were trying to find McKirdy on the right most of the time - he did bring Kokolo into the game though
Khan and Devoy were poor (as was RHM)
Boozy did OK. Glatzel and McCarthy weren’t as good as they have been.
Austin scored a goal.
Bycroft only had to pick the ball out of the net.

Boozy for me. Did more in 13mins than those on the pitch for much longer. Which speaks volumes.
Players who had performed consistently well weren't at the races so much {McGurk and Glatzel} but these are younger lads so they will have blips in their development.
Austin worked well to get his head to it for the goal. I'm pretty sure he wasn't unmarked but I'm baffled at the keepers positioning {he was in the left hand third of their goal}, leaving a gaping hole for Austin to direct his header at. Strange - poss the GK was anticipating or pondering another variable, maybe what was for tea or if his horse in the 4.35pm at Musselburgh won or not?
Yep, Boozy for me but there wasn't really much to choose from. The 13min man gets it for me.

McCarthy was my MOM at HT. Some great passing, fair positioning and a few well judged if not spectacular tackles. Then squandered that with an untidy 2nd half.
Drinan was also full of positive running in the first half before losing his usefulness once on with Austin.
So, like most, my vote goes to UGM. Mr Consistency in the Gunning era. That was enough for MOM today given the disappointing team performance. His driving forward remains as influential as ever but gone is the erratic positional defensive downside of Flynn's back 3 era.
