....by my reckoning the last Irish striker we had on loan from a Championship club.

Now Dom was severely crap, scored on his debut v the Shi**y,  in a game where from memory the Cock rasped in a thunderous free kick.

Dom also scored a winner for Wolves at the CG, so it might have been his most prolific ground with 2  goals scored.

When he came, his thing was he wanted to get into the ROI side for the 02 WC......hoped we'd be a stepping stone, bizarrely he got 6 caps.

He must have realised the game was up when he couldn't even score for the scum at the back end of the 03 season and that was him done.

Lazy load of tosh. Another perfectly good example of why loan deals are usually a waste of time.

ROI must have been desperate.

Looking back at his record, he actually played in the Prem, for Watford the last time they were there in 2000.....he also scored a couple of international goals for the ROI that season....a rapid fall from grace.  Did he get injured or something?

He's moved about a bit since leaving Pox. Played in Portugal for Braga, back to Ireland for Bohemian and now playing in Belgium's top league for A.A. Gent.
