Digby should be #1.

The fact that he isn't means that this 'poll' has no credibility whatsoever.

Jan Tomaszewski kept out England in '74 and was also named the best keeper in the World Cup - he's nowhere on the list.

In recent decades the Belgians Jean-Marie Pfaff and Michel Preud'homme were both good in a great era for their nation while Ricardo Zamora, Frantisek "Cat of Prague" Planicka deserve a mention too.

tomaszewski isnt there because of that exact reason, but yes he shhould be there along with dudek

Yashin no 1 - Banks no 2. Of the English keepers both Chris Woods and Tony Coto were well underrrated. Also I'm glad someone mentioned Preud'homme - he was well good. Also Dasaev of Russia wasn't crap.

Fuck me, I've just noticed Southall above Yashin. The world has gone absolutely stark raving mad. Thats like putting Bobby Howe above Zidane. I'm off to bed - this will do my swede in.

Where did this list come from?
Daily Mail. Which says it all really.

Still shocked that there is no Jim Leighton or Andy Goram in there. I still thank that the "flying potato" was one of the best in the world at his peak.

Bandy Leighton? No chance. Goram and Chris Woods were quite similar in standard, Goram used to be excellent for Rangers. No idea what he was like for the National team.
