The government doing something good and banning the sale of new houses as leasehold. Still a long way to go, but it’s an utter cluster fuckand should never have got to the stage it’s at.

With all the funds investing in purchasing freeholds, they’re obviously going to have to tread carefully looking after their mates, but this is a very positive step.

Interesting comments - I feel like the club have made good strides on the younger fans but lack engagement with the 16-30 gap, but has it always been that way?

I'll be honest, I still won't believe it until its enacted in legislation, whilst the system has been undoubtedly used for nefarious means in certain cases, trying to sell things like flats on a freehold basis is going to create a bureaucratic shitstorm and the only winners are likely to be the lawyers. It also flies in the face of a lot of longstanding government guidance regarding things like listed building schemes.

Let’s be honest, it’s tantamount to unworkable on flats, but selling fleecehold and leasehold the way developers have been is utterly, utterly criminal. And help to “buy” indeed...

Few things have annoyed me as much as this over the years. It’s the new PPI - perhaps bigger and farther reaching though.
