You've obviously got too much money if you can spunk that much on takeaways.

That is worded so wrong.

I'm ok for money but by no means wealthy. Don't think spending £100-£150 over a weekend on my leisure is excessive.

I have cut down on the takeaways to be honest....it got to the point where i wasn't looking forward to them...maybe two a month though.

Pop into Marks and Sparks now and again to get some POSH grub......£20 will get you some nice nosh and a decent bottle of Red..

Ha, there's a report on the Macclesfield match on Sky that made me think the same thing...

I'm not saying it is. It's your money, you can do what you want with it.

I suppose I could spend that much on takeaways if I chose to, but the financial planner part of me could think of much better ways to spend that £400 though.

i love my curries leefer. Trouble is my kids eat adult sized meals so it costs me more nowadays. I still have 5 home cooked meals a week. Don't think my takeaway spending is ott at all to be honest.

Bet plenty of you will spend more than that in the pub easily

I've been in pubs this weekend, and spent about £50 on 2 nights, which I'd consider average. If having to fund a bird with a taste for vino, makes the cost shoot right up....most places charge a ridiculous amount for a large glass of red or white. Often cheaper just to buy a bottle, but some don't think it very ladylike.

Exactly. My booze spend is around £10-£15 a week. And the takeaway out goings are for 4 of us.

When people work out what they spend on things that they enjoy they may well be shocked on how it stacks up. Plus as you say the kids eat adult portions so thats bumping the cost up.

The last 5 years we've had a single income due to the twins not being at school so we have had to cut right down. Mrs B started work part time last week and the small incremental income will make a huge difference to us.
