Somebody contact the Adver, get them onside.

You can't rely on the average STFC supporter to read these forums, but loads of people in Swindon get the Adver.

The only way out, really, is another period of administration and a buy out. I simply can't see anyone bailing the club out and paying all that money ...

But, I totally agree with Fred, we need to get these twats out right now.

I'm game to help out with anything here.

I know protests didn't work before but the mood I'm in If I could I'd scale the floodlights and shoot the board with missiles I'd do it.

In which case you'd be looking at a pre planned protest action to really show it meant something, like everyone staying outside until kick off or other stuff of that ilk.

The problem with protesting without a defined style is that people agree with the sentiment but need to be organised like sheep.  We don't like to think we'll be the only ones and end-up looking the fool.

Just so im clear what are you protesting about?

Is it that they havent sold the club?

That they are in so much debt?

That they are asking to much for the club?

and what will you hope to achieve by protesting?

the current board to resign? Wills to write off his loans?

Im not against any protests but im not entirely sure what there is to gain at this point.

No one will pay 18M for a club that is insolvent

That they are in so much debt?

We knew there would be skeletons and land mines ....... but 18M ????

That they are asking to much for the club?

How do they justify asking for 3M for 75% of the holding company, that according to the last set of accounts is insolvent too

and what will you hope to achieve by protesting?

the current board to resign? Wills to write off his loans?

Yes

Im not against any protests but im not entirely sure what there is to gain at this point.

I think a protest should be around the need for our current owner to accept his losses and fuck off as he said he would.  Time to make people feel unwelcome at the club.

I couldn't agree more Rob.

This has gone way, way too far.

The Wills family HAVE to accept that this is game over and that they are going to lose their investment either way. They have to leave the club and gift it to either BEST or the FC.

Well, I wasn't going to the match tonight but I am now. Not to watch but to protest afterwards. I've got a parents' evening first but I will be along later.

Diamond Mike will always avoid games if the heats being cranked up on him.  It is however impossible for the rest of the board to all avoid it as its a matchday some of them will have jobs to do tonight so will be in attendance for sure.  I just really hope we can get good numbers for this tonight, I will be there for sure.

The end of the day people need to join in with protests, even if they are not comfortable with chanting out the back of the arkells after the game then they need to be singing in the stands, Wills & Co need to know what we think, this is OUR football club we want a team to support and due to his staff's incompatance there is a real danger we won't have one, he can do something about this with the monies that he wants.

Everyone from man, woman to child needs to be loud in the stands tonight and make your voice heard....in the stands it does not need to be organised as once a few people start others should join in and it will quickly spread.

Good shout Rich.

They were considering making their views heard this evening about the ticket money anyway.

We should be fans united against our board. TV Coverage presenting the situation from both angles will illustrate even further what crooks we have in charge and why the protests are necessary.

The core protest will be during and after the game

I saw the camera pointed at our very own FlammableBen at the protests after. Apparently Yeovil was down the front too.

Unfortunately their seemed to be a bit of a scuffle at the door to the exec lounges/boardroom which was unnecessary and silly, not sure what kicked it off, might have been. Equally unfortunately OB turned up on mass with a few vans and several police cars. Talk about an overreaction. I made my excuses and left (yellow belly).

The media are key in this in terms of pressure on the majority shareholders. It also spreads the word to the non-forum/Adver reading supporters.

Charging the doors is silly because it gives the press and board an excuse to use the "all fans are hooligans" line. The vocal protests were brilliant, but "hooligans try to storm into the ground" will sell more than "disgruntled fans show their frustration." You only have too see the photos in the poaper too see which way the advers going..

I think only Starnes was there last night from the board, did not see Wills, Diamandis et all in the exec area, not surprising they didn't turn up though.

I suspect Lambert was protecting his father in law !!

Trying to storm the doors was a bit silly, people will just get tagged as hooligans which is not the point, I was surprised by the turnout and to start with there was probably somewhere in the region of around 500 but people slowly slipped away gradually as they do.

I wouldn’t offer £50.00 for protests against Tranmere for signs or be there last night. Whatever Ben Lambert or anyone else says is irrelevant, people may be nice to you or whatever but that means nothing when it comes to the F.C. The football club is paramount not personal friendships etc. We all need to be as one now show solidarity for the cause. Even if the club announced Best Holdings took over I would not be convinced until I saw it was true. That’s the kind of credibility they have now.

charging the doors when there's stewards and police stood there, some with batons, is only going to give the protest negative press and detract away from the actual mssage.

i appreciate the frustration people felt but getting aggressive and physical at a protest is only going to make us look like a bunch of idiots.

i then asked the chetltenham board if they had been paid and they all said no we havent. i pointed out that sandy was the one to see about it but good luck.

i asked sandy where the lucas/wise/parkin/elton john/season ticket money had gone.

i asked her if she actually knew what she was doing.

and finally i shouted out her address.

wonder why she left at half time.

I remmember what Brighton did in 1997. To be frank they were brilliant. Their chairman had the cheek to say he was selling the ground leaving them nowhere to play. So they had multiple pitch invasions and pulled down the cross bars. In some ways our board are worse, they are saying (as far as I understand) someone give us £8 million golden handshake or the club is dead.

Im sure most people would see tearing down the cross bars as far more idiotic, hooligans etc. But they werent, they were legends throughout the football community for that.

Im not interested in the moral high ground, I want this cancer out of the club. Besides you'd have to go some to be lower than Diamandis in the moral stakes.

To be honest I disagree to an extent I think we need both we need supporters there who are peaceful but we also need people there that feel so strongly and passionately that they go over the top at times.

Last night was brilliant because we had alot better numbers and protested for a good amount of time but I cant help feeling that people charging the doors and making the back of the adver just might make people like Mikey D sit up and think about the repercussions of taking this club under.

Its all well taking a printing company under in Devon and making a few people angry, taking a football club under effects thousands and IMO would lead to far worse things than people charging the doors of the ground.
