Title: Today
Post by: DiV on Saturday, January 14, 2006, 20:45:59
was the day we got relegated, that it....its over that was a massive 6 pointer and we lost. The gap is now 6 points and we cant score goals to save our lives, we only had about 0 chances today and we created nothing.

We are going down, thats a fact.

Right, I drove today my first bit of motorway driving ever, so I was impressed I got there, back and didnt die.

Thoughts on the match

simple....FUCKING AWFUL

Evans - 0/10
Jenkins - 0/10
Ifil - 0/10
O'Hanlon - 0/10
Nicholas - 0/10
Shakes - 0/10
Miglioranzi - 0/10
CCP - 0/10
Brown - 0/10
Fallon - 0/10
Cureton - 0/10

Awful, this isnt the time or place to talk about players social life and how they get enjoyment, but none of them deserve any form of enjoyment tonight. They should be dragged in for extra training first thing tomorrow morning

That wasnt acceptable, I didnt even stay to the end.

Disgrace

Where the fuck is Gurney

After today we are definitely going down.

We have a clueless, arrogant, useless bunch of twats who call themselves a football team when really they couldn't control a football if it was superglued to their own foot.

I think the amount of away support that showed up and put up with all the grief pre match, those terrible eleven so called men ruined everyones day.

Not only are they unable to communicate with one another, they also looked as though they were dead in the water from the word go.

Brown looked ok before he got handed his eighteen month contract and now its in his greasy palm, he looked as though he couldn't give a damn.

I hope those eleven wannabe footballers hang their heads in shame and for their own sake, do not go out drinking tonight acting as though nothing has happened.  I'm sick to death of lining their pockets and I think they're forgetting that without Swindon Town Football Club, they probably wouldn't have a career.

Thats my rant over............... for now.

Disagree with this point, Aaron Brown knew he made a mistake and he looked fucking gutted, he looked like he was abouts to cry.

It was a terrible mistake but he genuinly looked distraut afterwards, none of other players show that emotion

When mistakes like that happen though that prove costly, I couldn't really care less about his after emotion TBH.

Yes it was costly, but everyone makes mistakes. Id rather someone made a mistake and felt terrible afterwards for it, rather than not caring at all....

We'll be alright.  We'll play superbly vs. Bournemouth and everyone will be saying how we're staying up again.  Relax, one slightly below parr performance does not mean we're suddenly doomed.

He looked like he cared, he has let us down so you watch he'll put in an extra 10% next to make up for it....

maybe a bit harsh on brown, i thought he looked ok until we conceeded.

shakes needs to learn to get a ball under control, perhaps in playschool where the ball will hit his legs and he'll look pleased with himself.

extra training tomorrow is definitely what should happen. i'd like them to spend ALL day working on angles for passes etc

I can't believe the fucking retard tried that again! Thats twice now and the only fucking morons that it confuses is our own fucking players.

Diabolical performance second half. 3 soft poofter goals too. Aaron Brown Mr "thanks for coming in and saving me Iffy" I'd like to say to you "yeah? Well you gotta funny fucking way of showing it sonny"

Ricky "head down, leg it, oh shit wheres the ball?" Shakes. Awful

Evans " how wide do I want the pitch" wider than it is baby coz i can't keep this fucking thing in play at the moment.

I could go on

However - it IS ONLY ONE GAME & no it was not a six pointer at all.

Our real test comes when we have that juicy little clutch of home games. Come through those 5 with 12 or 13 points, then I'll believe we are good enough to stay up.

I do not subscribe to the relegated idea just yet.

Fucking well pissed off with the players today though. I'd never make a manager because today I'd have fucking decked half of them afterwards.

it was lovely to meet you aswell sonic. i feel i should apologise for leggett....he's not usually that strange or touchy.

before this game i felt real optimism for the club...depends how we do against bmuff to see how it swings from here.

let's hope we can get a new striker and a new right winger and some common sense before the weekend

the way we can go from confident and then see the most inept performance against a team we need to be above in order for these clowns to actually have a club to play for next season, and feel concerned about how things will pan out? it sickens me that we had alot of people there today, i genuinely felt that most of the town were there to see a match and not ruck. we had shit loads and we couldn't even put 3 passes together WHEN NO ONE WAS CLOSING THEM DOWN, COULDN'T CONTROL WHEN THE BALL WAS ON THE GROUND, COULDN'T WORK OUT TWO DEFENDERS ON ONE MAN ISN'T GOOD MATHS, PLAYED LONG BALLS TO FALLON WHO'D WIN THE HEADER THEN IT'D JUST DROP TO A GILLS DEFENDER COS NO ONE IS ON THE SAME WAVELENGTH AS HIM, WE HAVE A HOMELESS MAN AT RIGHT BACK WHO I'M SURE DID NOTHING FOR US TODAY, WE RELY ON A FUCKING KID WHO HAS THE SAME MUSCLE MASS AS AN ETHIOPIAN TO COME ON AND CHANGE THE COURSE OF A GAME?

take your pick mate. it was absolutely balls, fucking disgrace and completely ruined my 4 days off work

I was in town during the game and managed to get a listen of the last 2 minutes and had a very bad sinking feeling, probably not as bad as you lot but I still did. Luckily for me I had a quality night out to get over it.

However I still have faith in Iffy. I do believe this was a one off and we've seen what he's done with the team. By the sounds of it we could have been about 3-1 up at half time anyway!

They looked like fish out of water on that pitch except fish probably have more life in them.

agree with the first post we are definatly down now. we were fucking awful! it was a must win game & we blew it, like we always fucking do! that was the first time i've ever left a game early. totally disappointed at the lack of effort shown by the whole team. none of them looked up for it.

now we've got bournemouth, southend, walsall & doncaster & i honestly can't see us taking any points from any of those games.

I would quite happily put £50 on us geting atleats a point out of those.

I think that there are 6 points there for the taking. How and where we will get them I can't say, but it is perfectly possible.
