On the radio Watkins just said it would leave the FL with a dilemma as their is no precedent. Wonder if Pie heard a different interview somewhere??

Watkins said the game can't go ahead without fans, and either he or the interviewer made an off-the-cuff comment about a forfeit. Certainly wasn't mentioned as a likely outcome or anything.

Where's this notion of a forfeiture by Gills come from? Are you making shit up again Si?

Watkins said a league match is not allowed to go ahead behind closed doors (FL rules)
He also said a league match is not allowed to go ahead if away fans are not allowed (FL rules)

Either it will be on with fans, or it will be off completely.

Sorry, no link. But that's definitely what Watkins said on the wireless

At amateur level, it is standard to award a 3-0 win, but I have never heard of anything remotely like this at semi-pro or pro level.

It also makes me wonder, when is the point of no return (the last possible moment to call the game on or off)?

As for tonight, im pissed off if it is true that they were on the lash. Sounds like they have got it into their heads that it is all done and dusted.

I reckon Friday morning due to team travel. Doubt there is a rule to cover postponement due to these circumstances.

I was merely making reference to the FL having a dilemma. They can't exactly postpone a game and I think they'd need to make a point to other teams for the future.

So I assume if the game can't go ahead it will be forfeited. It would be very unfair if it was any other way.

If Paolo was that angry, why did he put Flint and Ferry on?

Agree with Si there. There is no other course of action other than forfeiting.

If a game is postponed at late notice the home club has to pay travel/accomodation costs for the visitors. Don't know how it would work in other circumstances though. As Watkins said, this would be totally unprecedented.

Other than the normal panzy fines and replay it option. A point deduction and replay it. Etc.

Never underestimate the jellyfish like qualities of the FL when it comes to making a decision.
