Oh my,what an awful film that is!Not at all funny and very, very gay.Disturbingly so really, they are supposed to be young lads after all.Think Alan Bennett let his wank fantasies get out of hand.
Apparently the film is better than the play as well. Far too much critical acclaim simply because it was written by Alan Bennett.

London to Brighton is bleak as fuck but excellent. if you like bleakish films check out the New Zealand film Once Were Warriors.
I watched the cohen brothers movie The man who wasnt there, it passed the time and looked nice but only a 6/10 in my book.

I saw Happy go lucky recently, didn't enjoy it,although i adore Sally Hawkins it just seemed far too pleased with itself.
The Orphanage on the other hand was something else.Brilliant film, involving, complex, emotional and most importantly very, very scary. My other half had to have a beer to calm his nerves.
Saw The Orphanage at the Arts Centre couple of months ago and enjoyed too. Pretty spooky and made a change from the usual gore fests on offer.

Yes I liked The Orphanage as well.
To watch I have Serpico, and Gomorrah.
Anyone seen either of these bad boys?

I've got Serpico but have yet to watch it. I probably won't get to watch it anytime soon though, as series 2 of The Wire begins tonight. Which is a shame as I quite like the idea of having a TEF film club.

On wikipedia it says Clarke confirmed in the Adulthood DVD's commentary that there will not be a third film
Also, apparently he is in the music video for The Prodigy "Invaders Must Die".

I assume this is in blogs and he didn't just PM you saying "hi, I'm famous and you fancy me. Want to hear my dirty sex stories?"

Sat down and watched ‘The Air I Breathe’ last night with Bacon, Whitticker, Fraiser, Geller and Garcia. Based on an ancient Chinese Proverb about emotions being the cornerstone of this and that.
Not bad the performances were all pretty good. Fraiser especially surprised me Not since California Man has he been as good as he was in this performance as a gangster with the ability to see the future.
That said cracking cast and a great concept do no make a great film and it didn’t live up to my expectations. Reminiscent of a Crash clone but not quite as good 6.5/10

I assume by Crash you are referring to the film about racism not the other Crash.

Is this the 70's one, or has someone remade it?
