I'm going to watch the Tarantino/Rodriguez double at some point this week Death Proof and Planet Terror.
I've heard mixed reviews - I just wish the studios released it as one film with the mock-trailers dividing them.

Just watched Infernal Affairs. I thought it was more concise than The Departed, although I enjoyed it no more, no less.

Thats not a bad film, if you haven't seen though and you like westerns Seraphim Falls is very good.
Just watched this, honestly thought it was dull, very slow and no great characters to keep my interest. Still, each to their own! I also wacthed Righteous Kill this evening, I was expecting a bit more from the Pacino / De Niro combo, but it wasn't bad.

I'm struggling to get round to watching films a the moment. I think the problem is that I've got quite a long list of films I've never seen, that I've got and should watch, but never feel like watching. Stuff like The Shawshank Redemption, Blade Runner, Sleeper, Breathless, Metropolis; some of which I've had kicking about on various hard-drives for nearly a decade. It's putting me off looking up other interesting films, modern or old.
I think I need to get back in the habit of having a time when I watch a film. Need to get back in to that.
Back on films, I watched Tropic Thunder when I was in brizzle last week. It had lots of ace moments, but for me it didn't quite hang together properly. There was all the talk about Downey Jr. doing the black man thing, but for me the weirdest moment was when it clicked that the comically nasty studio executive dude was Tom Cruise. It took an embarrassingly long amount of time for me to realise. Didn't help that Ally kept asking me if it was Gary Oldman... "Is that Gary Oldman? It looks like Gary Oldman."

Went to the cinema last night and watched Slumdog Millionaire.
Enjoyable enough, but I don't know why it's received such critical acclaim.

Still haven't got to the end of 'Walk the line' yet. Job hunting, Jeremy Kyle and Loose Women keep distracting me.

Could I just point out: http://watchmenmovie.warnerbros.com/ (This would be much more cool if Ben could create a "bloodstained Comedian badge" style smilie for me) I know Alan Moore is ignoring it, and I know it will lose the depth of the book. I'm sure it will lose all the "Black Trader" comic bits, all the excerpts from "Under the hood" and from "New Frontiersman" probably, but that's fine, it's a movie and movie have to concentrate on the main plotline or they ramble into incoherence. I don't care. The trailers look fucking ACE!
