I have some 'limit' filter these days. Hard to push through it to chuck up/wiped out zone
Same here. Maybe I've finally got a built in self defence mechanism. Can get tipsy but not beyond anymore.

I haven't been able to get properly drunk in many years now, I can get a small buzz after about 8 or 9 pints but its just not worth it now as I feel so bloated after, so I drink a lot less but much better quality drinks.

8 or 9 pints. I’ve never been able to drink that much. I just can’t take in that much liquid.
Got absolutely hammered on Paddy whiskey some years back. That sort of put me off drinking to a large extent. I’m a 3-4 pint man nowadays - and that’s fairly rare. I go weeks now without alcohol.

Have blood tests every year for something and no problems with liver. Get results of recent MOT on Friday so will wait and see. I'm pretty sure my liver is incredibly more healthy now than when I was in my 20s. I certainly gave it a bit of a thrashing then.

Drinking out of context is what can get me. I don't drink much in quantity but when I do it's at weddings etc, the danger is mixing. I went to a wedding last year and got mullered

Depends what you drink. A decent rum will not give me a hangover.
You're confusing that with alcoholism

I went to a wedding last year and got mullered With weddings the dangerous bit is always that no mans land territory bit between arriving at the reception venue and eating, for some lunchtime services it can go on for hours whilst the bride and groom are getting photo's etc and with free booze often the agenda things can get out of hand very quickly!

Yep. I was the only person on a table of 10 who liked red wine. There were two bottles. I was drinking cider too

Since moving over here it has been fun, most of the beers are in the 6%-8% range! I don't seem to get very many hangovers now, but as Reg pointed out, that is usually because you have learned how to manage the drinking - so having a glass of water at the end of a night, switching the tipple and so on. Getting bloated is more of a problem now, which always confuses me give the stomach gets bigger with age (for me).

With a mm of snow between Lambourn and Fox Hill some cunt thought the appropriate speed for the conditions was between 10 and 20 mph. I didn't fancy overtaking the half a dozen cars following so had to suck it up

What. The. Fuck? Apparently, there's been 346 mass shootings in America in 2017 alone. I'm not quite sure what constitutes a mass shooting, but fuck me. http://www.gunviolencearchive.org/past-tolls
