We should play Sheff Wed at Wembley and all have a great day out with no atmosphere to decide who goes up. It'll be great.

Best not. We have a 100% record of losing at Wembley in 2010!

What about Pompey?
Are they not in the same situation, pretty much, as Palace? If the creditors don't accept 1/5 of what they are owed don't they go bust too? Well that's what i've understood to be the case, but i don't have any understanding of what liquidate actually means:).
Anyway if we did get promoted (which we wont) because of it, it will be just deserves after the two division relegation in the early 90's. Sick.

We'd have to play in Red against Wednesday though!

Say hypothetically Palace went bust. Who gets their place
Sheffield Wednesday the relegated team? Swindon Town the play off final losers? or Charlton Athletic highest placed non-promoted team in L1

I'd say Wednesday would stay up. Based purely on ignorance and the totally irrelevant Salisbury City situation.

No, we'll wear our home colours of white and all of the fans will embrace it.

Well when we got demoted in 90, Tranmere the losing 3rd division play-off finalists were to take our place in the 2nd division, until we got back there on appeal. Obviously the rules could have changed, and it may be different now.

It would depend on which team the Football League favoured most and then they would apply retropsective justification to make it happen.
