I've just (well about 2hours ago) filled in my time sheet and realised I've worked 81 and a 1/4 hours this month. Fucking hell. That's like a real job. I might even have to pay tax or something. I reckon I might be in for my 4th best pay day ever. Woot.

i've worked over 200 hours this month, but it is bonus month so you have to make an effort. isn't your dad your boss?

It's all about the Spanish wines. There's a lovely tapas bar in Old Town where you can sample some of the better ones. ahem.

I wish. Actually fuck that, it's busy enough as it is. Table of 11 tonight. Becomes a nightmare with Tapas. Luckily they said let the chef decide. I took responsibility and they left a big tip, so they were obviously happy.

That's another thing. If you go out and eat, then leave a fucking tip. 10% preferably, but obviously depending on how good the service is.

Working in a resturanty/bar thingy has made me realise how bad some people can be at tipping.

tapas has to be a bad one for presentation time.

i hate people who, when we're out with friends, pay the bill for what they've eaten but no tip, means i have to put in for them. bastards. happened last weekend at a spanish place in norwich(don pepes), cost me £80 in the end. and i only had one bottle of wine. steak was nice though. and stuffed jalapenos.

Depends. Most of it is in little dishes which isn't to bad. The Garbanzos con Espinacas has a habit of exploding a bit, which can require a bit of tidying up, but it's not too bad.  The Friday/Saturday night specials tend to be something properly plated which can take some presentation, but once you get on a roll it's not too bad.

The main problem is that as it's lot's of different small dishes, which means that with a table of 11, even deciding what they have for them you're looking at 15 things, probably 10-12 different ones. With only 2 of you in the kitchen, well it can be fun.

It used to be ace back in the day. I remember a time when you could get up to 3, maybe 4 or even 5 (on a good day) in a late night thread. Oh the Nostalgia.

Yeovil and Village. It used to always seem to be timed when they were both working nights and have nothing to do. I think that might just be nostalgia kicking in though.

I want to know where all the students went. You used to get them kicking about a lot too. I'm sure we'll get a new batch in September/October.

i'm around most weeknights but away most weekends - but i'm in swindon this weekend with nothing to do. i plan to watch blackbooks, the producers and listen to some music and drink some guinness.

I'm working all this weekend I think. lame.

I'm going to chip off I think. Watch a film in bed time.

i hate working weekends and rarely do it, but then i do work during the week as well. and i don't get an overtime rate.

i'm off in 5, gonna fall asleep to blackbooks dvd, got the whole lot for my birthday.

I tend to only work weekends a lot of the time. Oh well. I enjoy my work.
