This is something that I have tried to work out; and have come up with a few reasons: 1. King doesn't motivate the team enough to beat the poor teams - beating the higher placed teams is motivation enough. Maybe they think they just need to turn up to beat the poor teams, which leads nicely on to the second point:
2. Complacency - are we under the impression that we can beat the shit teams?
3. We choose those matches for our crap games.

There's always huge expectations that we will walk any game that's considered easy, we've lost a number of these games before so the players don't seem to have the confidence and don't handle the pressure well.

Too many of our players think they are great and will piss all over weak teams.
Unfortuantley most shit teams work hard and are physical and we get bullied

Fact is, in this league the skill level between top and huge does not differ greatly, not like in the premiership for example.
A struggling, relegating battling team is likely to be just as good as a middle table/playoff hunting team (eg us) and can easily walk away with 3 points
That and king has no clue

Weve had very little focus all season. Wrexham and Luton at the start of the season we put in 'friendly' style performances.

I'm firmly of the opinion that the final outcome of all Swindon's games is pre-determined during the opposition manager's pre-match team talk.
If he says things like "If we're going to win this we've got to stop Swindon's midfield playing" then almost without fail Swindon get overrun in midfield and a poor performance usually follows (All the struggling sides like Notts County, Brentford, Cheltenham, etc. etc.)
If he says things like "We don't need to worry about what Swindon are going to do, let them worry about us" then what normally happens is that the non-tackling "flair" players monopolising Swindon's midfield have time and space enough to create opportunities (All the top sides like Wigan 2 seasons ago, QPR, Hull, Sheffield Wednesday, etc., etc.)
It has been so for as long as King has been manager.
Think about it, in King's time as manager he's been relying unsuccessfully on the likes of Hewlett and Robinson to provide bite in midfield and when that invariably fails he's resorted to shoving a defender who "can play a bit" like Gurney and O'Hanlon up into the combat zone.
The absence of a dominating, holding player in midfield has been hurting Swindon all that time and will continue to do so.

All it needs for Swindon to get into a game is a few gaps appearing so we can play it about. If that doesn't happen we resort to long ball, which we are shit at, therefore we lose/draw the game.
