Can think of many things to call Harley but pretty sure "white booted fancy dan" wouldn't be on that list. Sure Exeter can't begin to match his wages but as he is clearly finished at Swindon surely he might as well grab whatever they can offer if he wants to prolong a career as a professional footballer. Twitter outrage at Advers supposed lowering of standards which the reporter describes as tongue in cheek. Maybe Tom Bassam is in line for a Power bollocking too?

I thought it was a piss take.

If a local football journalist can't mock a much-derided, exiled disappointment within a newspaper column on a quiet news week then what can they do?

Quote
A player whose ignorance of defensive responsibility is permitted because, at any time, they can produce a piece of magic to unlock a defence – that flick, weighted pass or dink no one else is capable of. It is hard to find any examples currently in English football where a midfielder is indulged to the degree afforded previously by the likes of Matt Le Tissier at Southampton or Lee Trundle at Swansea.
Comparing Lee trundle to Matt Le Tissier seems to imply it is a piss take.

Historically, they'd repair to the Roaring Donkey around lunch time and have a long staff meeting.
