Agreed, it's why I'm not bothering with the tv show.

Did you watch it last night Lee? I will go and get the book now but wish I'd done it the other way round.

Would say the book is more about the tunnelers during WW1...the TV seemed to be a bit more focused on the love story. Was good though.

Anyone watch Coppers? It's a great little documentary series that focuses on different roles each week - CID, beat bobbies, etc. Shows the banality of what they do: capturing criminals, locking them up, seeing them released and then they re-offend all over again.
The start always makes me chuckle.
"Whoop! Whoop! It's the sound of the police!"

Yep great watch, shows the police in a very positive light
Certainly shows how much of their time they have to waste over and over again on the same minor % of work-shy druggie/alcoholic scum of this country.

One of my favourite ever reads.
This, the last 30 or so pages are completly unputdownable...but I doubt the tv adaptation will even make that scene

Started watching Kitchen Nightmares, I quite enjoyed it and watched the lot.
When there were none left to watch, I tried the US version. It was fucking awful and I didn't even get through the first one.

Top Gear has been showing signs of serious fatigue for some time, last week was particularly poor.
