I always thought the bbc site was shit, this confirms it.  Dukey was a battler but hardly a "star".

I don't believe any of that shit to be honest Johno.  I think they all say "oh I turned down this and I turned down that..."  when joining new clubs to make them look better.

Disagree Dogs, the shit he got from some of our fans last season was a disgrace and the fella showed a lot of bottle by continuing to play out of position, and play well, shoving those boo's down the twat's throats.  I won't miss the bloke that much but he would have been a useful fella to have around with our light squad.

Most of you know I was fully behind Duke, but it was clear that he needed to get out of Swindon.  5 years is a long time to be at a club these days, and to be at a club where you are religiously victimised must have been a living hell for him.  I hope he is allowed to play in a postion that would best suit his ability, and gets the respect he deserves.

Good luck Duke.

Fair enough. Personally I didn't boo him but I though his was a terrible player and in the footballing sense far from a battler. However must have taken some courage to keep playing after being singled out time after time (though he never helped himself by being shit).

"he never helped himself by being shit"

I do agree with this, but he still got my support.

Thought he was one of better players last season, some of his link up play with Holmes was ace...this co-incided with Parkins best scoring run and our best run of form....

I rememeber Wade elliot's goal in ths first minute against us last season,a classic daisy moment.
We may have sold sammy for less than he is worth and smith may have stabbed us in the back, but praise the lord daisy has gone. Smiley
