Thanks Mr Washbag. Do you know if was De Vita definitely rested, or was he carrying a knock?
I saw Gary Rose tweet something about a change due to injury, assumed it was De Vita, but it may not have been.

Ahmed Abdulla picked up an injury so that rulled him out of making the bench. As for De Vita, I just thought Gabilondo was preferred due to the wide width of the Vale Park pitch. To be honest De Vita could do with a rest given the amount of play this season...

Went on saturday and agree with all said on here port vale were very poor and although we weren't brilliant deserved to win.
One thing that annoyed me though was a stupid song some of our fans were singing about vale fans going home to rape a cat? I think that's what they were singing and it was truly cringeworthy!

There's got to be some sort of hidden banter in there somewhere? If not that is probably the strangest football chant I have ever heard

I randomly got chatted up by a guy wearing a Port Vale shirt at work tonight! When I mentioned I was a Swindon Fan he apologised and scuttled away!

"You're going home to beat your wife" was all I heard.
Just a reference to them being northern (well more northern than us) i think.
No idea where you got a cat from although I may be wrong.

"You're going home to rape your cat" was sung quite a bit in the second half, we were quite central behind the goal and heard it lots.... I told my daughter they were singing about them going home to "feed" their cat

Clayton Macdonald - Port Vale Defender was in court today charged with rape. Probably a reference to that. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-north-east-wales-15312837

Im going to have to take credit for the cat song I'm afraid. Drunken memories of seeing a cat on the way to the ground.
