Swindon Town have agreed a deal to host six double-header weekend concerts a year which are expected to net club a seven-figure sum #stfc

I'm sure Marcus and the groundstaff are going to love that...

this is how they plan to make up for having no money, a bunch of crappy concerts that will destroy the pitch

I hope most of them take place late May/early June so the pitch can be ready for the season.

Apparently platforms will be in place to ensure the pitch remains in good condition

In that case, you have to say it's a great thing for the club.

Maybe we should play lineup bingo until the acts are announced.

Tulisa is a shoe in, with half of Swindons Tracksuit swagger contingent rolling up hoping to get a nosh of their dream gal.

bet damage done to pitch costs in excess of whatever pathetic amount these concerts bring in

probably planned by the board to ruin our pitch to damage our chances of promotion

Good point, they will probably just pocket the money for themselves anyway as they are allegedly a right dodgy mob

yep, a perfect opportunity after the "raised platform" idea mysteriously fails...along come AmeriTurf to get their pockets lined by their mates pouring our money down the drain.

Sam Morshead ‏@SamMorshead_SA 12h
The agreement has been brokered with Avalon Investment Services - a Tetbury-based company, who will organise the events at the County Ground

This makes no sense, they are IFAs not event managers.
