Purely Swindon. In fact I hate every other club and those who support them.

I don't understand this second team thing. Surely if you "support" two clubs you don't really support either. Where's the true allegience.

Do you find that a lot of people will ask you what Premiership team you support even though you've allready said you’re a Swindon fan?

Yeah and I tell from to fuck off i'm Swindon. I refuse to talk to anyone about football who have never or very rarely been to live games. It winds me up so much. I wish they would all fuck off back to their armchairs and shut the fuck up.

Hibs are my Scotland team, but as I've only been up there a couple fo times I can hardly say I'm a real supporter.  Just want them to do as well as they can do.  As for English clubs, not a chance, Swindon only for me.  People who have premiership sides are sad glory hunters.

I support Swindon but do follow Yeovil a bit,go a couple of times a year.Place of birth and first club I ever saw live though I will be supporting Swindon against them next year.
I also follow Spurs to a small extent though its pretty half arsed.

Have a passing obsession with Everton as well - I was born up there, but moved down to Swindon when I was young. Thankfully before I picked up any hint of an accent.  Going up to see them play Birmingham in a few weeks.

But, am Swindon when it comes to the push - although it was tough when we played them in the cup a few years ago!!!

Comparitively I should point out I've seen most of Swindon's home games this season, and only 3 Everton.

Swindon till I die, I have been to watch arsenal a lot but wouldnt call myself a supporter.  I enjoy all games including conference football, use to go watch st albans alot when I lived up that way.

Most proudest fortnight of my life was in portugal last year getting asked who you run with 'swindon and im proud' was my answer got a fair few handshakkes for being a fan not a number.  Fuck supporting utd, id rather sit at home knocking one out than support a load of pompus twats.

Rant Over

I always look out for Spurs results, and see them a few times a year.  When i was 8 i loved Gazza, my family were Spurs, and then they won '91 FA Cup - as a little kid, that impressed me so it stuck.

It is far more satisfying following avidly your local hometown team, even if they do piss you off immensely.

I also follow spurs.  Mainly as a result of my dad who is a Spurs fanatic.  I always supported them as a kid cause of my dad but when i was old enough to start watching Swindon it all changed.  I still go and wtach them a few times a season with my old man.  It such a better day out than the shite we have to endure!  The whole atmosphere is a millions times better even at 10 in the moning when having breakfast in the  hotspurs cafe!

ive been bought up to support Swindon and Liverpool by my dad. He's supported Swindon since he was a boy but his dad has always supported liverpool so he carried it on.
However do look out for alot of clubs but would never call myself a fan. for example going to see forest for the 3rd time this season in a couple of weeks but when we play them there will be no doubt im swindon.

To be honest I'm surprised that so many people have links with other clubs, When the national scores are read out at The Kassam there's allways a lot of cheering booing, especially for Man Ure, Chelsea etc.

Although I thought people on here would be more likely to be only Swindon

How can anyone support 2 football clubs.

surly you can only support 1 club at a time.
anyone says to me who do you support it's a one team answer - Swindon.
i enjoy watching other teams play on TV etc but i don't support them. (unless an english club in europe)

what also gets me is when you see people turning up to football wearing fucking Manure shirts etc but have never seen them play.

all wankers i tell ya.

I'm Swindon through and through...  even if it does mean going to matches on my own because my glory-hunting, Arsenal 'supporting' mates can't be arsed to support their home town team as well.

It was a simple choice for me because my Dad doesn't follow any form of sport so I didn't have any external influences / pressures when I was making my decision..

I'm manager of a bookies when i'm not at uni so a lot of my punters take an interest in Swindon now as well, even if it is just so they can mock me on a Sunday afternoon following a poor result!

I keep an eye on Brighton results, looking forward to them coming down next season.. I'm looking for some serious retribution!

I only properly support one club - Swindon. Although at times like this I do wonder why.

My second club would be Liverpool due to family links. I guess I was one of those annoying kids when I was young that had the shirt of the best and most sucessful club at the time.

That said I was better than most at that age. I had been to Anfield and had been pretty much forced into supporting Liverpool by my old man. I was converted after our first wembley visit when I realised how much I loved watching "live" football.

It depends on how you define "support" as to how you can support 2 teams. Realisticlly I SUPPORT Swindon, but FOLLOW Liverpools results. When we played them at Anfield in the premiership I stood in the away end and sung my heart out for the Brazillian lookalikes (Yellows, Yellows, Yellows - I loved that kit :D )

I was gutted when Barnes equalised with 5 minutes left, it would probablly have been the most famous STFC victory I'd ever seen live, play off games excluded.

Precisely.  When we beat Spurs 2-1 in the Prem, i loved every minute of it!

Swindon is the only club that i actually get emotional about.  If Spurs had lost against the Geordies i would have been peeved for all of 20 minutes.  When we lost against Brighton there were tears, and im not even over the Wallsall match now.

Jam Tarts for me. Purely as a geographical thing. Swindon will always be my team, until I die.

I got to see 2 cup semi finals this season and 3 Uefa Cup matches with Hearts, but nothing beats going to the county ground to cheer on the reds!! Even if my only game was Port Vale at home!! Least we won!

Same as Edinburgh. I go and watch most Grasshoppers home games because you can't beat the atmosphere and excitement of live football. I can't just stand there and pretend that I don't care which team wins, so I would call myself a Grasshoppers supporter, but I don't follow them with anything like the same passion that I follow Swindon. It cheers me up for a couple of hours when they win, but no result would affect me the same way that the Brighton one did - and I wasn't even there!

Having a glory premiership side and going to watch Calne, and hoping Hibs do well in Scotland isn't exactly the same kinda thing is it?  Blokes going in the CG with their Chelsea/Arsenal/Utd/Liverpool shirts and people who seem to have these sides as back ups, they're the ones I'm on about.

Does it fuck.

I often sympathise with the underdog as a neutral, but I can't even contemplate going to a game unless Swindon are involved.  I went to Reading vs. Sheff Weds this year which was an okay game, and was as  bored as fuck.

I have only ever supported Swindon Town, and like to see Leeds do well so long as it does not affect us. I agree that football is boring unless you are supporting one of the teams mildly.
Sometimes I go to watch Blackpool games which is fine because I just support whichever team is trying to get the result that Swindon need!

don't think i've even watched a whole game on telly this season either.

Not really more than a passing interest and wouldn't go out of my way mind.

Used to be slightly partial to Rubbish & Dustbins as well but really only due to the fact I used to win a fair bit of cash backing them.

A further thought occours to me. If Reading go up there will be premiership footy on my doorstep. Now I couldn't care less about Reading and might pop along occasionly to see a game if Town are away.

Does that make me bad?
