I have a feeling that the shortlist will include one, if not two, Paralympians. They could avoid this by nominating the Paralympians as 'Team of the Year', but the BBC Equality department might have some say in the matter.

As the BBC were at pains to point out during last year's sausage fest, the BBC don't pick the short list- every newspaper's sports departments send in ten names and then they pick the most common ten.

A great win and finally Murray has won a grand slam. He played some outstanding tennis and fair play to Djorkovic for his sportsmanship. Hopefully he can now go on to win a few more and maybe even Wimbledon now the 'monkey is off his back' so to speak.

Not sure. He's too busy ignoring 9/11, in response to American shunning of our 7/7 tribute.
