I'm surprised to see Cibocchi start and Kennedy not even make the bench? I'm also becoming slightly irritated at Connell being overlooked again.
I don't think you're allowed to say that, bad joteddyred

I don't think you're allowed to say that, bad joteddyred I know, how dare I question anything.......... I just find it completely bizarre and feel so sorry for Connell. He now appears to be fourth in the pecking order.

No idea what Connell has to do to get a fair run in the side.
Play better when he starts? Most (not all admittedly) of his best performances have seemed to come when he has come off the bench. That's another reason that it was odd that he wan't used Saturday when we need ed a goal.

That is true, apparently he is not the hardest of trainers as well and we all know that PdC likes players to train hard as well as play well. Connell does seem to play better off the bench though, he has not played that well in many games he has started.

He's scored 5 from starts and 5 from the bench.

I was talking more about his performances rather than his goalscoring record TBH, I know I have only seen 6 games this season so cannot give a definative answer but the reports always seem to say he plays better when he has not started a game. The stats show that it is pretty even though as you say, having started about 15 and 15 off the bench in all competitions.

I thought I remembered PDC saying that Connell worked hard in training and asked for extra sessions a couple of months ago? Has that changed?

It's fair enough Jeremy Wray not wanting to say who it is but it's pretty obvious someone will spot him in the crowd and it will be on here in minutes.
