I thought it was a great film if you just enjoy it for what it is, a bit of fun.
It was basically Kickass 1/2 minus the superheroes, replaced by spies. All of which written by JG.
Really enjoyed it..

Southpaw.
Bit of a cliche but very enjoyable sports films, excellent acting from Glyenhaal and Forrest Whittaker

Kajaki is a harrowing British war film, well worth a watch.

Really wanna see this. Can't wait to see Straight Outta Compton, either.

I'm a Star Wars Virgin, and am being pestered into watching them. Which way round shall I do it? 1-6 or 4-6 then 1-3?
I must admit it doesn't appeal to me in th slightest, but if you don't try it. :gay:

Watch 4-6. If you don't like them, don't bother with 1-3. If you really like them, don't bother with 1-3. If you quite liked them, but think you wouldn't be annoyed at the same thing with even creakier dialogue and plot, then maybe watch 1-3. Even then, probably not 1.

4-6 are way better, if a little dated now. 1-3 are a pile of shit

4-6 have that "cult film" status. The reason being is for animation geeks like me, all the work put into modelling and real FX was a work of art and for the time they were made its absolutely brilliant. I'm not anti digital/green screen though. It's a different kind of art and skill, for me it's jut all the work put into making things we take for granted in film now, Lucas 4-6 team were truly craftsmen of their time.
This is why I enjoy the original version of films like John Carpenters: The Thing, all of George A. Romero's ...of The Dead films and the earlier Alien films. Yes you watch the "FX" now and think "that's shite" but relative to the time they were made it was real craft and groundbreaking. I admire that in films. Obviously I enjoy a well written script and good actors too.
I agree with sutton though. 4-6 are classics. While 1-3 are ok, you just don't feel the same about them.
If you want a great film though i'd say, try Memento. Guy Pearce is excellent. Very underrated actor in my opinion.

Last week I watched, 'I Fine, Thank You, Love You', a Thai romcom. It wasn't terrible, certainly better than most american films of that genre.

Watched Legend with Tom Hardy the other night. Pretty good, you really do forget it's the same man playing Ronnie and Reggie
