I'd imagine Hylton will head off to FGR now, for a season in the Conference on loan.
Would be a good move....
Not a bad shout considering Samsung Pro contract winner Kayden Jackson has done reasonably well at Wrexham

To the point that he's rejected a new contract at Wrexham.

I keep reading the loan rules have changed, presumably to our detriment, but have yet to read exactly how they've changed.
Anybody know?

No emergency loans anymore. Just the 2 windows to do your business.

What about numbers? We currently rely on having shed loads of loans, in order to keep the wage bill down and field a team.

What about real emergencies though?
I expect most clubs at this level would be right royally screwed if they had their 1st and 2nd choice keepers out, for example. I doubt many have a Will Henry waiting in the sidelines. Some might be forced to play an inadequate youth player and it wouldn't be fair on them.

Under the new rules, Football League clubs will still be prohibited from selecting more than five loan players in their 18-man match-day squad. They will also be prevented from borrowing more than four players a season from any one club, and no more than two over the age of 23. And there is a specific provision regarding goalkeepers, with teams able to sign one at any time if they do not have a fit registered keeper who has made five senior appearances for any club.

That shouldn't have that much of an impact on us as we primarily sign people up on long term loans anyway

Yes, but 2 of our long term loans got crocked pdq, we then shifted out a number of players in the window, so some emergency loans were the only way we could field a viable XI, even then we couldn't fill the bench. I suppose if this forces Power into making decisions which don't put our continued presence as a Div 3 club into jeopardy, then it is a good thing. However, you are at the mercy of other clubs when it comes to windows....it could be as with someone like a Byrne or Smith, last year, we couldn't move them on until late in the day.

We would never have been in this position if Jed had remained in charge, he could always have sorted us out some windows.

So you don't think FGR will win their play-off final then Reg?

Well having been contending for auto for so long, they'd be worthy winners....but just think Grimsby will nick it.
