Plenty, several times by accident (such as when Bogus Dave drove me to Wycombe only to find it was all ticket for away fans, so I got to stand in the home end keeping quiet when David Lucas saved a penalty.)
It's not ideal, but sometimes it's that or nothing.

A lot more times than I have gone with others TBH.
Only ever go to away games on my own now. I think I prefer it.
As with Nemo, if I can't get into the away end I will stand/sit in the home end by myself for POTD if its all ticket for Town fans and have done in the past at Yeovil, Rovers, Bournemouth, Exeter and some cup games.

The beauty about going to football alone is that even if you struggle to converse with strangers, everyone is in the same boat and its easy to strike up a conversation about the football.

Cheers for the responses, living a few hours away from Swindon and with a young family has meant missing the last two seasons. Always felt a bit of a cunt leaving my wife for most of Saturday.
Wanted to get back into it next season but the friends I used to drag along are no longer around!

Living 2 hours drive away from Swindon is one of the prime reasons I go to games on my own.

Plenty of away games - usually on the way to/from somewhere I have to be anyway. But I'll usually bump into someone I know. One of the nice things about supporting a smaller club, I guess.

Probably 99% of the time over the years. Like with any 'family' there are irritations but we're all kindred spirits once in the ground, particularly away from home.
