I think King may be sensible to let him go sooner rather than later. Hopefully this way we will get more out of the deal

I think King may be sensible to let him go sooner rather than later. Hopefully this way we will get more out of the deal I disagree, as his contract does not expire till the end of next season, so it will make little difference until next January. Can't see Brown coming here, although it does seem that McCarthy is an admirer of Parkin. If we lost Parkin, finding a replacement would be very difficult and next season we could really struggle. Perhaps if Christian Roberts finds his form we could cope with the loss of Parkin, but strikes me more of a goal creator than a goal scorer.

True, but if Parkin goes in January next season, we won't get as much for him. If he renew his contract with us that would mean he could be free to leave us in the summer anyway

Think I have herd this one before, may just be yet another column filler.
Can't see Thick Mick Mc The Mick having the nouse to sign anything but his signature and even then I hear he used to have to get Jason Mcateer to help him.

Can;t see Parkin wanting to play up north. He'll stay down in the London area, though more than likely not with us. His column in the Bournemouth programme was superb btw. Funny fella is our Sam.

You mean his interview?! For a footballer he is bloody intelligent I think!
The best thing to do (financially) would be to sell in the summer, or get him to renew his contract and sel him in January. He won't be here this time next year I'm sure.
