One minute people are complaining that most players are out on contract next summer...and when someone is then given a long term contract, people complain about that.

Wasn't complaining, just surprised. Can't remember the last time we gave out a 3 year contract.

Also didn't realise he was only 23, good age to finally kick on with his career.

I suspect a 3 year contract security may also off set the likely wage reduction compared to what he was on at Leeds!

This is a great move, if we can grab Ojamaa today as well, I'll be happy.

I think it more of a surprise considering we are only offering one year deals elsewhere, shows that Power and Cooper were desperate to get him!!

I genuinely think we have a team that's capable of mounting a promotion charge now. Granted, the depth isn't great and we may have to rely on a lack of injuries/suspensions but you'll do well to find a better first XI in the league.

That, or, they think they will definitely make a big profit on him and think it's relatively riskfree in that regard

And he's a known quantity.

All the one years will be one year + option anyway won't they.

After all the toing and froing, looking like a quite decent squad (when everyone is available) and having Ajose back is a nice little fillip. Mark Cooper, if I remember correctly, rated Ajose's work ethic both in training and playing as second to none. I guess it might take a while for him to be up to match fitness but look forward to seeing what he can do for us as an actual Town player now.

Obika, Hylton, Thomas, Ajose, Robert & Ojamaa when he signs - not the worst options for attacking players.

^^And Stewart and Balmy.

As I posted earlier, I'm curious as to who we play and where with that amount of attackers. It's quite an exciting thought. Maybe we can accommodate them all and play 4-6 attacking midfielders and 2-4 forwards.
