I heard that the selectors were considering calling up Gough or Caddick, can anyone confirm that? I'd have thought their experience would be a bonus, Anderson seems like a bit of gamble
but I don't know much! I'm sure Caddick was mentioned and perhaps even Gough. I heard Cork was pretty close to selection. We're fucked if Joner ain't fit in my opinion. |

Wouldn't agree that we're fucked if Si Jones isn't fit, just means that the rest of the bowlers will have to step it up a notch. Mcgrath has said he's going to play,but it could all be a mind fuck. i'm still not convinced that the convicts are dead and buried yet,especially if they win the toss,their batsmen are due runs,and where better than the feather-bed surface at the oval?I wonder if macgill will play as well,although the essex batsmen smashed him around over the weekend,he is still a good bowler and could do a job for the fuckers. |

That's exactly why you need the extra bowler....you can't play to draw in modern test cricket and to win you need 5 bowlers, unless you've a Warne, |

Quite right Reg, we need someone who can be relied upon to bowl a large number of overs, and take a few wickets, otherwise a part time bowler would get twatted about.
