Bit harsh! I didn't think we were that bad, played some tidy football and looked fit enough. Still a little rusty and the players really do need to gel. Stef was head and shoulders above the rest today, top drawer and Whalley looked handy as well. In fact, I was impressed by all the new players, they all looked quite good.

Nicholas was well out of sorts though, very poor. Bulman didn't impress me much either.

Best bit was when the Aylesbury lad came on and set up our goal, absolutely brilliant Cool

I took a load of pictures, you can view them here.

Good to see us playing in all-red, long may it continue! Are we saving the new kit for the start of the season?

Spose, but Aylesbury are amateurs and despite loads of chances in the end we were lucky to win! All I can say is a shit pre season is a good kick up the arse. Its no good winning 6-0 all summer (I mean that). Otherwise you get 11 cocky Igoe/Howard hibreeds on first day of the season.

Nice pics.

i have to say wells was alot better than thursday. he looked lively, as did poooooooky.

whalley n migs were class in the first half. nicolau doesn't seem to like to get to the byline and cross the ball, seems to cut back onto weaker foot...shakes aswell looks like an out n out winger but then doesn't provide....YET!

on the whole alot better prospect(in theory) than we've had in seasons

To be honest I was expecting our players to still be a bit rusty. Give em time...

ha ha spencer that pic's made me laugh. in some ways I should have gone.  Went to fulham vs celtic, another ground but thats all teh highlight was.  No real action, 0-0.  Good day out tho and was absolutely wrecked by the time I got back to swindon at 9.  Headed to a 21st then onto walkabout.

Barnsley getting close now!
