If we're looking for a manager who focuses on fitness, discipline, scouting skills and a proven track record shouldn't the door be open to the return of Lou Macari (if the coach leaves 1/2 an hour early tomorrow we could pick him up from Manchester!). He knows the club, has the respect of the fans could be a perfect time for him to come on a temp contract till June

Luc Nijholt has international managerial experience!!

You may jest, but when he applied for the Motherwell job he was highly thought of wherever the fuck he was.

I like the idea of Fjortoft, he speaks well and would be a fans favourite. Does he have the management skills though ??

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serse_Cosmi

"Cosmi is widely popular in Italy for his excitable behaviour during matches. He is also famous for always wearing a baseball cap (usually that of his team, but often with just his signature printed on it). Together with Carlo Mazzone, he is considered one of the most passionate coaches in Italian football, and also became subject of a satirical imitation from comedian Maurizio Crozza."

I'd definitely leave my cushy European based media job to manage a lower league football club Smiley

He's got a media career and as far as I know made no noises about wanting to be a manager?

No, it isn't.

JAF would be skill. Even if he was shit we might get to see the jetstream again.

The love affair would last about a day...about enough time to realise he's no more qualified to manage your football team than he is to build you a conservatory.  I'll never understand why folk keep putting forward ex-players as management candidates.

Ian Culverhouse has been assistant to Lambert for a number of years which for the most part have been good years...

I meant the lack of management skills not all the other shit that came up?

Skill - I haven't heard that word for years used in that context.
