Whits - you might not have read the post on the L&P Forum, but if you can get to Marlborough from Newbury by bus, I can pick you up there? Then you won't have to drive to Swindon.

We're going the long way round to Brizzle, down the A4. In the interests of an increase in en-route beverage consumption time.

£12 a head includes hire, fuel, beer on the way down (and back if it lasts that long!).

The train is tempting. Half 8 train, arrive at temple meads at half 9 missing the old bill. Walk to Corn Street, arrive at 10, Weatherspoons opens.....perfect!  Cheesy

I'll probably get the train tbh, depends on what time the minibus is getting in. If you're not there for opening time you're missing the point.

could you get a train to didcot? if a few people made their own way there, i'd pick them up and drive them to swindon and vice versa

Alternatively the train to Pewsey? A bit of a detour but it adds to drinking time.  Smiley

I think it's down to 3 spare spaces now.

Anyone got any experience of pubs that might actually let us in?
