Slightly longer than bumping into one at the CG Sunday.

Derek Elston reached his 2,000th consecutive Town game on Saturday. Got to admire the extreme dedication, particularly with being Northampton based as well.
Don't know the guy. I think the only direct encounter was at some dodgy away ground once. Opened the toilet cubicle door to find him sat there minding his own business. Closed the door and beat a hasty retreat. Hopefully the cubicle had paper. These places often don't, in addition to the locks not working.
Anyway, well done.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change? Crap!

There is a certain reassurance that you'll see Derek at away games.... I usually do a few per season.... but would rather it outside the players entrance, rather than on the shitter.

He and his family will be touched by you sharing that moving anecdote. Now we will all conjure up that picture whenever we bump into him.

More than happy to be seen as the villain of the piece here. After all those years following the roller coaster, hopefully Derek has retained a robust sense of humour. As for the venue, can eliminate Fleetwood as their away facility has always been pristine and a pleasure to make use of.

I dunno, there's always one who has to lower the tone. Anyway, you must be disappointed that things didn't work out for your little lad. Is he looking to get back into management?
