Brown is still at Gillingham. He was transfer listed by Gills, went on trial at Lincoln but never signed.... is on Gills transfer list now.

Near the end of last season he was told he would be released by Gills on a free and was training up at the Imps for a month with a view to permanent transfer....which he has now got!

haha he signed today then! But he is too good for League 2, I am surprised Man United never looked at him to replace Christiano Ronaldo.

its good to have a high standard (if not higher standard) back up though. Why we ever let a player of Brown's calibre go I'll never know!

This was his trial game back at the end of February, which coincided closely (less than a week) with Mr Onoura taking charge full time from Peter Jackson while he was in hospital having treatment fro cancer.

One of the greatest talents of his generation.

Through no fault of his own, he finds himself playing in League 2 next season, if only the thousands who have watched him play knew (As he himself knows) they were watching a man who should be classed among the all-time greats such as Pele, Maradonna, Best, et al.

Hopefully he will now be able to show his talent, an England recall can't be too far away.............................

I think we'll have to agree to disagree.

I can't think of any outstanding performances in his time with us.

And the fact that he's going to be playing in League 2 kind of disproves your theory that he's a mid table League One player......
