The wife and I are considering a permanent-ish relocation as my job prospects in Bangkok are looking slim to say the least.

Both Phuket and Chiang-Mai have been discussed and another country is not completely out of the question although we do have our 3 year old to think about.

    I like caravans in Wales, especially when you can look out of the window at the poor sods drowning in their tents,  and feel pleased that it isn't you.

I have always wanted to visit that part of the world, and fully intend to  attend the Mardi Gras (Sp) in Brazil at least once, that looks well fun.

I remember very well going on a family holiday to Perranporth (Sp), Cornwall once.

It was an outstanding summer and the beach was cool, with loads of rock pools which is my cup of tea.

I remember the rockpools had tons of crabs, starfish and fish and stuff but the highlight was an octopus which my uncle managed to catch and put in a bucket, with which he then ran around frantically freaking out the other occupants of the beach that day with said octopus.

We used to go Lyme Regis.

My brother fell in some quick sand type mud that sucked him in.He cried :mrgreen: I laughed and ran off.

I didn't see any quick sand action  :cry:  :cry:  :cry:

Although my "Late" grandad taking me out at night to show me the glow worms is something that I will NEVER forget..

I have only seen that in Cornwall.

Trying to book for Jamaica or Mexico in mid-November.  Thought we had it sussed only for Thomas Cook to come back and say they have only released hols up to the end of October!!  Supposed to be getting back to me by the end of Feb.  For fuck's sake all the prices are in the brochures, yet they cannot take my booking!!

 Ah Lyme...one of my favourite places for an outing from Swindon....its always a winner to take a bird  to The Cobb, look out wistfully to sea and discuss repressed sexuality in Victorian women, as highlighted by John Fowles's French Lieutenant's Woman. and whether its a pastiche of Tess of the D'Urbervilles.

 The last time I was there abouit 5 years ago,  I had a Fred Titmus moment when seeing John Fowles taking an afternoon walk  :jaw1:  afternoon I mumbled....afternoon JF replied knowingly.

   I'm sure SY will confirm that some girls like literature, its often romantic imagery,  and so an ability to tap into this is useful.

I have stayed in an appartment in Bangkok in which my balcony was about 50 metres or so from a flyover.

Barricades where erected (Oooh Err) to stop the light from the cars headlights penetrating (Oooh err again) into the windows. But you could still hear the "Wooosh, Wooosh" sounds of tyres against tarmac, which is not too unfamiliar the sound of waves crashing into the shore.

I mentioned that to which-ever girl I was with that night ,Quite urban romantic-ish like and it went down a treat.

    When living in London, I needed a place to live after the break up with bird I found the picture of the other day....I looked at a flat...around Hendon,  quite a spacious place, but the M1, actually ran past the front window on a flyover.   Couldn't see much romance there, perhaps I was being short sighted...I've often wondered if someone like Ralphy could live there.  I suppose if you were deaf it'd be OK.

It's just down the road from Guardalavaca and they do an overnight trip to Havana for £160 where you get to see the Plaza de la Revolucion, the Malecon and the Tres Reyes del Morro Castle.

Going to Dublin for a weekend, a 3 day cruise to Bruges in July with the girls and then hopefully 3 weeks in South Africa in Jan/Feb 2009.

Africa is ace Luce, I went to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.

I did Kenya few years back, best holiday ever.

My friend lives in Mossel Bay SA so will stay with her after having few days on my own in cape town.  Its either that or Asia, undecided yet,

I'm sure we'll cobble another lads holiday together, did Ibiza last year so perhaps someone different but along the same lines. Don't really give a monkeys as long as I've got got sun, a pool, a golf course and a lot of drink.

I'll be going to a field in Somerset in June, and mybe to Stockholm. Think that's about it for me though!

I haven't been abroad in 2 years and no plans for a holiday this year, although I might go and visit my little brother who lives in Nantes.

I love Lyme Regis, what a great British resort.
They have really done up the place, I'll be their in April.

Also just came back from Rhodes in January, it was cold and wet but great.
Will be staying in Rhodes again from mid June until end of August, then onto Athens for a week.
