Samsung Galaxy S2 and Jelly Bean

Ever since I 'upgraded' to Jelly Bean, my Galaxy S2 has gone from being a great phone to an utter turd. Battery life is now almost non-existent (was fine before upgrading) and barely lasts the day - I'd normally end up with about 70% left, now I'm pretty much always down to single figures, even with very light use.
Any other S2 owners having the same problem? Is there a solution?

Back everything up (SMS may be tricky) and try a factory reset.

Download this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bvalosek.cpuspy&hl=en_GB
Check the phone is going into deep sleep when it's not being used. Could be a rogue app keeping the CPU awake which will drain the battery.
And this:

Will tell you what 'wakelock' is keeping the phone from going into deep sleep.

Right, CPU Spy tells me the phone is in a deep sleep for 20% of the time, and running at 200 MHz for 58%. Remainder of states are <10% each. I'm guessing I have a wakelock then?

Yeah definitely something preventing it from deep sleeping. Install the other app I linked to, leave the phone for an hour or so and then take a look at partial wakelocks.
