Title: Android 4.4 KitKat
Post by: Talk Talk on Saturday, March 22, 2014, 11:00:56
(I don't think anybody else will understand this apart from Sonic)

I was so excited. Android 4.4 KitKat has been released for the Sony Xperia Z series. Unfortunately as I was in Norway I ended up with KvikkLunsj 4.4

 :(

I think many will understand that Kit Kat is the latest upgrade to the Android operating system, but I'm not sure whether people know the difference between all of the different versions.

My phone is still on ICS. I could probably upgrade to Jelly Bean, but I'm not sure of the point and don't want to risk bricking it.

EDIT: Just read an article on 4.4, which concluded with this:

'All in all, Android 4.4 isn’t what you’d call a spectacular update, but it does bring some much welcome improvements to the table.'

Kvikk Lunsj is superior to Kit Kat in every way. Unfortunately they are only to be eaten when out on tour.

Get with the programming granddad. Been on KitKat for ages on my nexus 4.

I don't like the lack of network activity indicator in the signal strength icon.

It's key lime pie, and it knows it is...

Oh absolutely I bring a ton of them home with me every trip. The chocolate is nicer than Kit Kat and the wafer is dry not soggy. One of Norway's best kept secrets!

But I don't have any friends to text and talk to. I just need something that enables me to call for help when I get lost and confused!

Ha, it was meant as a joke Mr Batch. I really don't care what OS my phone has on it, it works fine. 2.4 Tapioca, 0.6 Zabaglione or even Raspberry Pi, not a problem  ;)

I still have this indicator. Perhaps it's because I have a different phone to yours?
