" "Other clubs I've been at I've brought in free-transfers and they've gone on to better things.

"The last one at Bradford was Jermaine Johnson who I brought in and he was transferred to Sheffield Wednesday for £300,000.

"If you look at my history I have brought in players for nothing and they've gone on, and I hope that will continue.""

Maybe someone should point the Darlo journalists towards his Swindon history?

Whoa, whoa, whoa - wait a minute. Are you seriously suggesting that Colin Todd's transfer record at Swindon Town was a failure? Lets have a looksy shall we?

Colin Todd & Swindon Town

01. Bart Griemink (124 league games - Southend on a free)

02. Juan Cobian (4 league games - the abyss)

03. Matt Hewlett (181 league games - Torquay on a free)

04. Danny Invincibile (128 league games - Kilmarnock on a free - he never did get that Aussie cap)

05. David Duke (204 league games - Darlington on a free)

06. Kim Heiselberg (1 league game - the abyss)

07. Antoine Van Der Linden (33 league games - BVO Emmen on a free)

08. Martin Williams (19 league games - Peterborough on a free)

09. Gary Alexander (£300,000 - sold a year later for £170,000)

10. Mark Robertson (Undisclosed - released on a free)

11. Marko Tuomela (loan - chortle)

Hmm, you may have a point.

I thought Alexander  was a King signing. Damn you memory and your tricks.

T*dd was by far the worst manager we have had since McMahon. Probably worse than him in some ways.

King wanted Todd to sign Zamora for the £90,000 he had arranged with wovers, Todd, as manager, decided £300,000 for Alexander was the better deal...

He might have done OK if his goal against 'boro first day of the season wasn't disallowed for as far as I can remember no reason.

We still should have signed Bobby Z though regardless.

Colchester that was.

We were singing 'were goin up as fuckin champions' that day.

We were just totally deluded and thought we were brilliant when in fact, we were rubbish. I miss that. Good spirit.
