Quotes from Carlisle United's fans forum.

Topic: "Who will Vincent Pericard sign for?"

'I could understand going to Charlton or Soton but its a fairly sad indictment if he does choose Swindon regardless of geography its not much of a step up'

'you could argue on the swindon is all about money than an actual step-up, but football is a money-driven game thesedays and harsh facts are Swindon will probably be offering him alot more than us because they have 3-4 rich money men behind the club.

One of them situations maybe in afew years you get annoyed if Swindom come complaining about the old money problems when you know they overspend today, but again that is how football is.'

'Looks like the bench at Swindon it is then '

Er, we're still making losses - sounds like overspending to me.

I think hes just guilty of being a fucking twat then not really for being a criminal as such, even though I am sure there are people on here that will argue the criminal point.

He broke the law, got caught, got found guilty and served the time. End of I reckon. Move on.

My main concern is his level of intelligence, as you have to be pretty bloody stupid to do what he did.

Most clubs are making losses. You and I know that they're assuming we're in the same situation as previous years.

Agree, but at least now there seems to be some long term planning by the board and the potential new stadium if it's ever going to happen will be with Fitton and Co in charge.

Have they not considered the fact that Swindon are a team in the play-off spots whilst Carlisle are just four points above the drop zone? And let's face it, who'd want to live in Carlisle?!

Michael Bridges did similar but he was localish to Carlisle. He flopped at Bristol City and dropped to Carlisle and did well - earning a move to Hull City.
