KP still can hold his head high, fair play to him!!  Not much in it now, in a funny kind of way, not a bad recovery.

In rougly the same amount of overs we gave away 21 extras, the Aussies have gifted us just 9.  Need to cut those nbs out Freddy.

At least we put a bit of late resistance.  Match is very open now. Come on England let's start again.

35 behind then.  If we were only 35 behind them, and they were on 450 we'd be pleased, so on that basis we've not done too bad.

We must improve in the second innings though.

Good old fashioned tail end batting has redeemed us slightly. Its been like a odi so far.News flash on tms,Thorpe has retired from international cricket.I think he should have been in the team in place of bell, maybe no chance of it happening now.

More commentry from Sky Sports Cricket Centre:

Quote
42-1 - The pitch is certaintly looking more placid now and there should be just one more over before lunch. I heard Mike Gatting say earlier that he reckons it is still a good pitch but unconfirmed reports say his view was being obscured by a pork pie.

Starting to look a little bleak, need a break through, only getting updates from the net but looks like these two are ticking over nicely.
