As long as KP can put 70-100 runs on the board with support from Jones and more likely Hoggard, then we are still perfectly capable of winning this game. I think that 150 should be a reasonable target, but we will have to bat well second time around.

Agree Spuddy. Most of the batsmen were awful,but i think the pitch is fucked.There is no way all those wickets should go down on just one day.Mcgrath just showed us yet again, that he is one of the best bowlers ever. The only plus point that i can think of is that we did bowl well,the first day at brisbane in the last ashes series was a lot worse than yesterday,on that day they batted us into submission.I feel we can get 20 wickets now, unlike the last ashes series,but they have two of the best bowlers ever,and our batsmen are going to struggle.The difference between the aussies and everone else is warne and mcgrath,to me they are the reason why the aussies dominate world cricket. |

I agree, although the pitch does look very ropey, I thought some of the batting was dreadful. Made for great entertainment though.

i think was wickets of vaughan and flinty were abit unlucky due to the ball dying on them off the pitch. otherwise england were too scared to get forward to the ball, as they all were abit nervous.
