Enjoyed that. New places, new faces.

Obviously it became a bit irrelevant once we found out Rovers had Rhys Evans in goal.

From where I was on the right hand side it was a very drunken Swindon following. Which made for a red hot atmosphere at some points and then subdued again.

Great goal by Wardy. Looking at the pics on the getty and the official site what comes through is the team spirit weve got now. I dont think we could have got two better loan players than Danny Ward and Simon Ferry, 100% team players who have given us everything theyve got. Great pic of Ferry looking ecstatic that Ward has volleyed us 1-nil up.

I think Im the same as anyone in that Charlton were the prefered opponents and thats what weve got. But youve got to be careful what you wish for. You cant underestimate them, we need to do the business now.

A couple of beers in the All Bar One before the game went down well and a very well organised exit on the train. I'm happy with Charlton in the play offs - lts hope I'm saying the same in 9 days.

Policing down there is an unbelievable operation.

I'm glad we've got Charlton as well but I suspect they're saying the same about us.

I thuoght Millwall were the better side aided by the officials who gave us jack all. Their centre halves had Paynter and Austin in their pockets. I can't quite understand why we gave them so much space down our left - was Sheehan continually out of position or was Ward shirking his defensive duties.

I think it was a case of Ward not really giving him enough cover, but that's probably because we were going all out for the win, rather than anything to do with laziness

Good atmosphere today, even though team weren't on top form.

Going to be even more nervous for the play-offs games - lots of queueing to do I see.

Policing down there is an unbelievable operation.

Got to say, I was very impressed with the police and stewards there. The way the police get the away fans into the ground and out is done with Military precision.

The stewards were also alright, not once did they tell anyone to sit down and were genuinely helpful.

Policing was good, apart from the stupid set-up involving the SAS coaches.  We were told that we'd be stopping in Blackheath for the police to check the coaches and they be escorted to the ground.  Instead, we were left at the side of the road for over half an hour, with a load of coppers standing around.  Finally we were let go with a police van in front and about 6 normal motorists in between, complete waste of time!

Agree with most of the points already mentioned about the game as a whole.  Thought Greer looked a bit dodgy at times and after we conceded the penalty, the defence was an absolute shambles for about 15 mins.   Charlie seemed to be tired and off the pace, which is a worry, as we need his sharpness in the play-offs.

I would be inclined to play Amankwahh instead of Darby, as he has far better attacking ability.  Darby went on a great run at one point and then didn't seem to know what to do with the ball and we ended up losing it.  Amankwahh would probably have gone for goal.  O'Brien looked like he could be a decent pair of fresh legs, hopefully he can stay fit.

I reckon we need a 2 goal cushion from Friday to take into the away leg to help steady us.  Come on Town, we can do this!

Some of those Millwall fans were straight out of central casting - we were over to the left and there was one who looked like an extra from Minder, one who must have been in every "When hooligans attack" scene in the Bill ever, but top prize went to the guy who sauntered over to the barrier, made a slashing gesture across his throat, then did a full-on "cockney roll" all the way back to where he had been stood. If he could have done, he'd have licked himself, he was so chuffed with himself. We were in stitches.

So from what's on the OS, I assume the away tickets are on sale from tomorrow as well? Although I also assumed they wouldn't have them in yet - maybe they'll just post them to us when they get them?

what did he say? Apart from the obvious

The question was would he stay if the Town went up.  Paynter really didn't answer the question, just said that he has enjoyed his time with Swindon and he just had to sit down with the chairman.

He also mentioned that the ref gave him nothing, but a slight nudge the other way was an immediate free kick.

I can help you - Nick Watkins said (on the radio after today's game) that he was going to be bringing the Charlton tickets back to Swindon with him tonight, therefore they're confident that the away tickets will also be on sale tomorrow. Looks like voucher C is required for the away ticket, fuck it - might as well just drive in to the CG tomorrow & get both together.

Paynter confirmed fuck-all about his future plans - he was just waffling, "Eeeehm....it's gone well this season.....eeeeehm I'd like to stay......eeehm me & the Chairman need to sort it out...." You can't blame him if he's looking to cash in. It's the age-old argument between us as fans just wanting the best for STFC, against & us fans being honest/grown-up & putting ourselves in their shoes.
