Title: Streamer and Ticker Tape Frenzy Post by: RobertT on Thursday, October 13, 2005, 19:36:44 Been thinking about how to continue the Red Army Loud and Proud idea and I think I've found something that looks good, but is very cheap to arrange:
Red Crepe Streamers (81ft long!), cost 85 pence Ticker Tape - One paper each (the Adver!), ripped to shreds If we could get even several hundred people joining in, it would look fantastic. Planning on a trial run at Scunny with a big push for the City game on Sky. Need to get it timed for the players entrance, just imagine the scenes on Sky TV. For the simple cost of £1 each (or less if we assume 1 between 2) we could produce a great atmosphere. If the ticker tape is Red, all the better. The Streamers and ticker tape will work regardless as you don't need everyone to do it to cover a large area.

The Town End should be full enough for City to get the card thing going. I'll start by applauding last nights efforts for those of you who were making the noise next to the Away fans. That was my first visit to the North Stand since 1989 I think. This Saturday, should you be willing to get involved, bring along ticker tape by the sack load and make the TE like a huge snow globe when the players come out. Flags and Scarfs as well. Get those scarfs going continental style. And keep the noise going, you have been a revelation. Lets see if you can make it last 90 minutes on Saturday. The others will join in, just like the Vale game, i knows it. Anyone standing (naughty naughty!) near J1mmy or Gary Stanley is advised to stuff ticker tape down their tops :wink: |
