Do the numbers go from the stratton bank to the town end or the other way round??

I'm in seat 187 next season and I'm trying to figure out what stand its closer to. Anyone know?

you'll be on the townend side about 3/4 of the way i think

They go:

1-------------------->250(ish)
Stratton Bank---->Town End

You're nearer the TE 8)

I went in the Nationwide for a game last season and when i started some songs off i got some very strange looks, hence why i stay in the Town End.

I get those looks...

I almost got threatened by a big group of 13 year olds Chavs as they thought I was an away fan in the Nationwide because I got up and started clapping as one of the away teams subs came on.....

there are lots of them in the far corner of the nationwide stand. they piss me off too! there are also people who complain about the performance even if we are winning!

Those guys are pricks. Before the Franchise game, "I knew we'd be in the bottom 4..." We'd played 2 games!!

Then we COMFORTABLY strolled past Franchise. Bet they were still moaning.

That was the first time I had ever been to a game on my own! :mrgreen:

I must have missed that one, it was hardly comfortable. We just scraped a win and had to rely on a penalty save

The next two games were very comfortable however, City & Hartlepool!

Seat 187 will put in you Banbury Red, Mr Old Town Red (formerly known as mr blackpool red) depending of course on your row number, we make up the sometimes noisy non chav, definite non teenage burger tray fighting children in the back few rows of the block nearest to the sometimes fine bastion that is the town end

I Will be sitting in the Nationwide Stand near. Top Row Seat Number ???

I sit Row D/E about 105/106. Bloke to the right of me in row D is the most miserable git ever. Always moaning, doesn't appear happy even when we score/win. Luckily there's a 3/4 seat gap between us.

mostly 58 P with my wifey and bump in 59 P :D

used to sit in the nationwide and there was a stinky bastard who sat next to me nearly every game! Glad i have made the transition to the townend! thats where its at! :mrgreen:

I pray that the gods of seat allocation are kind to me this year.
I spent most of last year in the townend but couldn't see a thing at the other end of the pitch so I have decided to sacrifice atmosphere for a half-decent view.
It's a shame that you have to compromise.

I had some right weirdo with blonde hair sat behind me last season. Went by the name of Tom, and was rather kinky!

i sit round about row R, S or T seat 25. there is a bloke to the right of me about 5 or 6 seats down and he complains at everything no matter what!

Personally,i don't care where people sit,so long as they pay to get in,its okay by me. :) But in defence of the south stand,its not quite as lacking in atmosphere as the arkells,which seems like an o.a.p stand.Sitting in the townend appeals to me from time to time because the view is terrible,and i've often not wanted to be able watch us :)

I was a Stratton Bank lad back in the Premiership days.

Sorry Whits dont go on as often as some of you, these chaps sit in front of us and they are okay really we have a bit of a crack with them, he does look like Rick Wakeman and he is actually fairly quiet hated Duke and Igoe though. The big guy really knows his football in fairness ! There is one that I have known since early 1980's when we used to stand next to them against the fence with the away fans in Shrivvy, he is really dry and probably the funniest of them.

We (banbury, the red kite, Mr old town red, The blender, Northern bastard and Podge the geriatric sex starved maniac) are in the back 2 rows behind. Take my kids sometimes and then spend half my time trying to stop them all swearing

i think i remember you lot from the eighties standing by the away fans on shrivvy road, we were eighties chav boys straight from school shouting abuse then legging it, we were dead brave........ i remember cracking night games one that springs to mind was chelsea in the simod cup we beat them 4-0 and joined in with the chelsea fans singing we want hollins out. remember numerous coin throwing parties espescially against pompey and bmuff, and running into about 200 fans who were about to run gillingham after the playoffs right down the shrivenham road.
i wonder where are that lot have gone........
